The change you have
been looking for

Yeux Clairs laser procedure is done to lighten the color of the eyes, but it does not remove the pigment, it only affects the cells that contain pigment and making such pigment to be removed by the same iris. This way it prevents the pigment from moving and obstructing the eye drainage, condition that could cause problems with the intraocular pressure.

The laser procedure is done with the patient sitting down in front of the laser device and it is done in both eyes, over the superficial iris pigment, which induces the permanent and irreversible removal of such pigment. This does not affect the fibers or the pigment that is behind the iris.

Yeux Clairs laser technique is an outpatient procedure, without using an operating room or hospital admission.

It is applied by a laser from outside of the eye, without requiring surgery, thus avoiding the risks involved in an intervention.

All sessions are done by certified, subspecialist Ophthalmologists.

It is necessary to make a previous evaluation of the eyes, eyesight, eyesight correction, and exams to evaluate the cornea, retina and optic nerve in order to do the procedure.

The laser does not change the eye color immediately; it takes 2 to 3 weeks per session in order for the changes to begin and these changes continue up to 2 to 3 months. It is required to wait this period to consider the sessions’ effectivity in each person. In case that you want to lighten further your eyes, more sessions can be done.

Session frequency

The most efficient way of doing the sessions is doing 2 sessions, in two consecutive days, per month.

If this is not possible or feasable, we can do 2 laser sessions, in two consecutive days, per week for a maximum of 6 sessions and taking a break of at least 8 weeks before doing more sessions. It takes around 16 days to complete those 6 sessions.

For example, if the first session is done on a Thursday and the second session is done on Friday, the 3rd and 4th sessions are held on Thursday and Friday of the following week respectively, and the 5th and 6th sessions on the following Thursday and Friday respectively. (see the Calendar Example)
